Information regarding the recent Volcanic Ash Issue
New Federation Travel Insurance Scheme
Following a few phone calls into the office, it appears there may have been some confusion regarding declaring existing health conditions, therefore in order to seek clarity on the issue we have contacted the Brokers who have confirmed the following:
With the new policy, there is no requirement to declare any existing health conditions before you travel. Anyone who has been advised by their GP or Consultant not to travel or is suffering from a diagnosed terminal illness will not be covered. Cover will cease once the member reaches 65 years.
We apologise for any confusion caused.

Guidance Note On The Duty Of Disclosure
It is a legal requirement world-wide that anyone seeking a new policy of
insurance/reinsurance or cover for additional risks or renewal under an
existing policy, must disclose any information that might influence the
insurers/reinsurers in fixing the premium or determining whether to accept
the risk. Under English law, failure to do so may entitle
insurers/reinsurers to avoid cover from inception and seek repayment of paid
claims. If you are in any doubt as to whether information is material, you
should disclose it.
