Fair Pay - e-Petition

Friends & Colleagues,

You are no doubt aware of the ongoing struggle that the Police Service is having with the government trying to persuade them to agree a fair pay award for all Police officers.

Sadly it seems that despite attempts at conciliation, those representing the government have refused to listen to the evidence, and are adamant that Police officers should be treated exactly the same as other public sector workers, and they refuse to make any allowance for the fact that Police officers already have unique limitations on the private and working lives, not least the fact that going on strike is a criminal offence for us.

Whilst the National Federation consider their next move, we in Kent would like to do what we can to support the cause, and as such we would ask for the support of friends, family and colleagues in signing the e-petition available at this link.

We feel that it would be helpful if, whilst the National Federation continue with their negotiations, that we around the country do what we can to demonstrate the strength of feeling that we have on this issue.
