KCC Pensions department response sent to a colleague when he requested an estimate for retirement after 31 March 2015

"I can confirm that the Public Service Pensions Act 2013 does enable the government to make amendments to the various public sector pension schemes, however the new regulations for Police Pensions that this act gives rise to are still in the process of being written. Therefore it is not possible at present to consider your request for estimates.

We have been told that the new pension regulations will not be laid by Parliament until at least April 2014, and it may still be several months after that before we are able to provide the detailed estimates. You should also note that it is our usual practice to only provide one estimate in any given twelve month period."
